Gillian Gibson
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
As Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Travelport, Gillian Gibson is responsible for all aspects of the overall marketing mix including the delivery of top line growth through the deployment and commercialization of key Travelport products such as Universal API and Universal Desktop. Reporting to Gordon Wilson, Travelport President and CEO, Gillian also oversees strategic pricing, market strategy and research, and marketing communications globally.
Prior to joining Travelport, Gillian spent almost eight years with Amadeus IT Group in a variety of senior global commercial roles, most latterly as Group Vice President, Multinational Customer Group. During her time in the organization, she gained valuable experience building new market development strategies and managing large cross-functional teams.
Gillian began her career as a Buyer with General Motors Inc, before moving to National Westminster Bank PLC, leaving as IT Purchasing Manager in 1996 to join a MasterCard subsidiary, Mondex International Limited, as Head of Strategic Alliances. She was appointed Commercial Director in 1999.
A graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, in 2010 Gillian successfully completed the Sloan Fellowship Leadership and Strategy Programme at the London Business School.
