In his role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Armin Meier holds  global responsibility for sales, marketing, segmentation and customer engagement for Travelport, comprising the Galileo and Worldspan brands.  Armin reports directly to Gordon Wilson, President & CEO, Travelport GDS.

Most recently, Armin was Group Chief Executive Officer of Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd., one of Europe’s leading tourist travel corporations, listed on the Zurich Stock Exchange with 2007 turnover of CHF 4.7 billion, almost 9,000 employees and operations in over 30 countries. Under Armin’s leadership, Kuoni was named “World’s Leading Tour Operator” at World Travel Market 2007, the ninth occasion on which the group had won this accolade.
 
Prior to his  tenure at Kuoni, Armin held executive responsibility for supply chain logistics and information technology at Migros, the largest retailer in Switzerland. Earlier, he was President & CEO of Atraxis AG, the airline IT services company, which was part of the Swissair Group before being sold to EDS. His early career was focused on the IT sector, where he held technical and managerial positions with organisations such as ABB and Digital Equipment Corporation.
 
Armin received a bachelor’s degree in IT Engineering from Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In his new global role, Armin will maintain offices in Switzerland and at Travelport’s GDS worldwide headquarters in Langley, UK.
