He is responsible for the company’s legal, government affairs, communications and compliance teams as well as leading the corporate strategy and development efforts.

Prior to this role, Eric was Executive Vice President, Law and Corporate Secretary for Cendant Corporation, overseeing the company's legal practice groups in securities and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate secretarial and governance matters, executive compensation, travel distribution services and marketing services. He also served on Cendant's business ethics committee, disclosure committee, employee benefits committee and business continuity planning committee.

While at Cendant, Eric played a critical role in the growth and restructuring of Cendant. Finally, in 2006, Eric oversaw the legal aspects of the separation of Cendant into four new companies: Travelport, Realogy, Wyndham Worldwide and Avis Budget Group.

From July 1997 until December 1999, Eric served as Vice President, Legal and Assistant Secretary of Cendant, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in January 2000 and Corporate Secretary in May 2000. On May 1, 2002, he was named Executive Vice President, Law.

Prior to joining Cendant, Eric was associated with the corporate group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he participated in transactions relating to the public and private offerings of equity and debt, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. Eric graduated from Lafayette College in 1987 and Fordham University School of Law in 1990.

In March 2005, Eric was named one of the leading corporate in-house counsels in America by Corporate Counsel Magazine. In December 2008, Eric was among the honorees for lead in-house corporate counsel at the New York County Lawyers Association’s Centennial Event.
