Martin Brand, Managing Director, The Blackstone Group, serves as a Director on the Travelport Board of Directors.  He also serves as a Director of Orbitz Worldwide.

Martin joined Blackstone’s London office in 2003 and transferred to Blackstone’s New York office in 2005. Since joining Blackstone, he has been involved in the execution of the firm’s direct investments in SULO, Kabel BW, Primacom, New Skies, CineUK, NHP and Travelport, as well as add-on investments in Cleanaway and Worldspan.

Before joining Blackstone, Martin was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Prior to that, he was a derivatives trader with the FICC division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York and Tokyo.

Martin received his B.A./M.A. in Mathematics and Computation, First Class Honours, from Oxford University, and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
