Air France KLM and Travelport GDS Sign Global Full Content Agreement
Langley, UK and Paris, France,
21.04.2009
Discussions between the two parties culminate in a multi-year, global full content agreement for Travelport agents Travelport GDS, one of the world’s leading providers of global distribution systems (GDS), and Air France KLM, one of the world’s largest airline groups, have today jointly announced a new, multi-year global distribution agreement which will see full content provided to all Galileo and Worldspan-connected users worldwide until March 2013.
“We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Air France KLM and can guarantee full content to all of our travel agency customers for the next four years.” said Matthew Hall, Travelport GDS’ Vice President of Airline Development, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “The length of this new agreement, and the fact that it guarantees full content globally, will really give our travel agency customers a competitive edge. It is a further illustration of our ability to work with our airline partners and reach a situation that is beneficial to all those involved in the travel booking chain – the airline, ourselves, the travel agency customers, and, of course, the end traveller.”
Henri Hourcade, VP Corporate & Distribution Air France KLM commented: ”Travelport GDS, with its Galileo and Worldspan systems, is an important distribution partner for the sale of Air France and KLM flights and we are looking forward to working closely together over the coming years. The new agreement we have signed will enable us to give both Galileo and Worldspan users full global content until March 2013 and will further strengthen our position with those users."
The long-term agreement, which takes immediate effect, represents a continuation of Travelport GDS’ successful strategy of securing full content programmes across the globe.
