Your daily tasks may vary according to the department you are working in. Typically, Finance interns are responsible for conducting a wide range of analysis, reporting, statistics and commentary. This may involve comparing company performance on a monthly basis against prior month, budget or forecast, then investigating and commenting on any variances. You may also be tasked with preparing financial reports and information packs for management teams and other senior members of the organization. Travelport offers a variety of Finance internships. Human Resources

As a Human resources (HR) intern, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself within our various departmental areas, including Recruitment, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Admin and Reporting. You will play a vital role in every stage of the recruitment process for the following intake of interns, including advertising, conducting telephone interviews and organizing and facilitating assessment centers. Other responsibilities will include managing the content of the HR pages on the company intranet and dealing with the payment of contractors. Customer Research/Customer Experience (CMO)

Customer Research/Customer Experience interns will be a part of the Market Intelligence team. You will learn to use data analysis and customer research tools and help to run customer surveys alongside updating and developing customer databases to support ongoing customer research needs. You will be able to understand the customer touchpoints from the customer perspective, enabling areas for success. You will also have the opportunity to own assigned projects and look for additional opportunities to contribute to team goals.

Data Analytics

Working as part of the Air Commerce team, the successful candidates will play a vital role in researching and analyzing raw data in order to identify key performance trends. One of your main tasks will involve reporting on individual airline performance, with a focus on elements such as number of bookings, country of sale, route popularity and whether bookings were made through Travelport systems or those of our competitors. You will also have the opportunity to analyze and report on commercial agreements, company products and profitability, then make recommendations based on your findings. As a Strategy intern you will be involved with a number of projects that require data analysis and insight to help identify opportunities for investment. You will be required to carry out market research, statistical analysis and project reviews to help improve the strategic direction of the firm.  Other responsibilities include creating and building presentations in preparation of key management meetings where your ideas will be discussed. Careers UK Intern Strategy

IT Development

An IT Developer intern will work as part of a fast-growing worldwide team who are operating in a highly agile environment and will help us build a unique worldwide rail e-commerce platform. Managing and updating Travelport’s rail database for travel agents, which holds 90,000 rail stations and needs data investigation and correction to ensure accuracy, helping you to build on your Excel scripting skills. IT Developer interns will help assist the migration of travel agents from legacy systems to a new software booking platform, which will provide you with project management experience. Opportunities are available across Data Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Digital Marketing.

All internships start July 2018 and are based in our Langley, Berkshire office

What are we looking for?

Enthusiastic undergraduate students in their second year of study from a UK based university

Predicted 2:1 or above

Must have a level of passion and prior knowledge for their chosen area and eligible to work in the UK

What is our application process?

We ask you to submit a CV, cover letter and answer a few questions.

The closing date for Finance applications is 17th November 2017. The closing date for all other applications is 20th December 2017.

Successful candidates will be contacted to submit further information and invited to a telephone interview.

Assessment Centres for Finance will be held in December 2017. All other Assessment Centres will take place January/February 2018.
