Role & Team

 
You will come on board at a truly exciting time, and as a member of the Technology Finance team; you will play a pivotal and crucial part in being an integral finance partner in supporting the Technology teams.  You will provide budgeting, forecasting, monthly Close, project analysis and ad-hoc analytical support for Technology teams.   This individual will take a support role through a strong partnership with the Directors and Managers within their share of the Technology organization, as well as other finance leaders. 
 
This position will involve being a thought partner for the organization in managing the Technology business.
 
 

Main Accountabilities: 
 

  • Monthly Close / Operations Reviews – Provide analysis on variance to budget, identify major focus areas, and develop action plans where applicable with group leadership team

  • Forecasting – Provide support for forecasting P&L outlook, as well as other Financial Statement components (such as for Capex), and contribute to forecasts for related Technology Project Investments

  • Budgeting – Integral part of annual budget process for their organization, including consolidation, reporting and project budget projections

  • Capital Expenditures – Partner with Technology teams to prioritize, manage, and track Capex Project spending

  • Reporting – Maintain current view of monthly financial performance for their team, and serve as thought partner in managing the business

  • Ad-Hoc Requests – Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and recommendations to leadership team in example areas such as Capex trends, supplier spend, Cloud investments, and other analytics

  • Labor Analysis – Contribute to analytics around Technology labor spend and related time tracking

  • Project Analysis / Reporting – Provide financial analysis and data on the health of Project investments within their Organization

  • Business Case creation – May assist in creation and review of Project Investment decisions

  • Business Process Review – May contribute to Business Process reviews for the Technology Finance function to identify improvement opportunities, and partner with supporting teams in Corporate Finance and Accounting

Your profile will consist of… 
 
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 2-3 Years of Financial Planning/Reporting/Analysis experience.

  • Extensive computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Some knowledge of BI Reporting and Oracle / SAP systems is a plus.

  • Possess excellent analytical skills and can clearly articulate results and outcomes of analysis.

  • Must be proficient in data analysis and the ability to work with large data sets, not only analyzing the data but also explaining what the analysis means in terms of business implications.

  • Detail oriented with strong time management and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong initiative.
