As an Operations Engineer at Travelport, you can thrive in the exciting world of Travel Tech.

Role & Team

You will come on board at a truly exciting time, and as a member of the Operations Team you will play a pivotal and crucial part in making decision for a small team. You will be providing a secure and reliable platform servicing million of users requests every day.

This Operations Engineer role will involve...

  • Delivering our infrastructure with Amazon AWS across multiple regions and you will work closely with our development teams to manage Travelport Digital’s dynamic environments, using a variety of technologies.

  • Resolving any development or production issues raised in JIRA

  • Maintaining and enhancing our Linux development and lab environments used by Travelport

    Digital’s development teams

  • Establishing new processes and systems to facilitate transition of code to our production

    environments (e.g. managing large development projects at varying stages)

  • Working with our Development team leads to ensure the smooth and timely transfer of code

    updates to live customer systems

  • Working with the wider Operations Team to develop standards for security, stability and


  • Working with our Product teams to introduce new technologies into Travelport Digital’s environments

About You;

  • Minimum 3+ years working experience in an Operations Team, providing technical and organizational leadership to engineers and technicians for production support, process troubleshooting and process improvement

  • Excellent Linux (and Network) Administration experience

  • Experience with managing large scale distributed systems and task automation.

  • Experience in a highly available and secure environment.

  • Proficient in a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)

  • Experience with Continuous Deployment/Integration

  • Database administration skills (NoSQL as advantage)

  • Experience supporting environments 24/7/365
