As a Software Engineer at Travelport, you can thrive in the exciting world of Travel Tech.

This is a technical software development position to support applications within Travelport’s airline portfolio.  Customers which Travelport supports range from very small airlines to some of the largest worldwide.
Purpose & Key Responsibilities


  • Applies advanced knowledge of development principles
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve delivery of daily work
  • Champions needs of customer community and user experience enhancements
  • Acts as technical point of contact for a subset of larger project
  • Coaches/mentors others in application, platform, and/or global architectural standards
  • Actively engages in and readily adapts to software development engineering best practices

Expertise / Proficiency

  • Provides tactical and technical support on tasks
  • Able to serve as both team member or team lead on different portions of work efforts
  • Shares knowledge with others and assists new team members

Experience Summary

  • 2+ years Java Development / DevOps background
  • Informed team member who can exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
  • Experience developing, deploying or supporting commercial, customer facing solutions (either distributed or mainframe applications)

Desired Experience

  • Experience in an Agile environment (Preferably SAFe)
  • Airline industry background, optional

Skills / Education

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or combination of experience and education preferred
  • Strong critical thinking ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio
  • Jira for Requirements/Story management and work management
