As a Senior Android Developer at Travelport, you can thrive in the exciting world of Travel Tech.

Role & Team

You will come on board at a truly exciting time, and as a member of the Delivery Team, you will play a pivotal and crucial part in delivery of new features for a very successful client in the travel industry.

This Sr. Android Developer role will involve…

  • Write clean, readable and testable code

  • Actively participate and contribute to the teams Agile ceremonies

  • Be a leader in the team, advise on code quality, architecture, technical improvements

  • Manage and own the release process for the Android application

  • Mentor more junior members of the team through a combination of pair programming and code reviews

  • Research and identify new technologies to drive innovation

About You;

  • 4+ years commercial experience working on the Android platform with a deep level of understanding of its core components

  • Expertise in Java and Kotlin programming languages

  • Proven ability to consistently deliver high quality code, with tests, on time

  • Excellent understanding of usability principles, particularly as applied to mobile devices

  • Good knowledge of application security principles

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and to take responsibility for ‘owning’ the Android project

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced, test driven agile development environment

  • Comfortable communicating directly with the customer on any Android related issues
