Travelport, (NYSE: TVPT), the leading Travel Commerce Platform, and World Travel Inc, one of the largest independently-owned travel management companies in the United States, today announced they have signed a new long-term agreement, extending the relationship between the two travel industry partners that began when World Travel Inc was founded in 1983.
The agreement allows World Travel Inc, headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania, to continue its adoption and use of Travelport Smartpoint, Travelport’s advanced search and booking platform that allows travel agents to customize the way they work to display the content needed to meet the unique needs of their customers. World Travel Inc. cited time-savings and the ability to sell fares and promote ancillaries to their mid-market company customers among the key benefits of using Travelport Smartpoint.
“We are pleased to extend our long-term partnership with Travelport. We believe their leading-edge investments, such as Travelport’s Level 3 NDC certification, will allow us to evolve and grow our customer offerings in the future,” said Jim Wells, Chairman and Founder of World Travel Inc.
“We are thrilled to continue working with World Travel Inc. to provide their customers with access to the travel industry’s best fares, content and technology.
