Travelport continues as one of Spain's online primary Travel Commerce Platforms

Travelport (NYSE: TVPT), the leading Travel Commerce Platform, and Travelgenio, leading European online travel agency, are pleased to announce a renewed long-term partnership.

When searching online; travelers expect destinations, flight times, schedules, prices, and relevant choices returned in a matter of seconds, filtered in a way that makes sense to them. To drive conversion rates, online search providers like Travelgenio therefore need to ensure they have access to the broadest and most current inventory of content across the entire spectrum of travel needs and have the ability to deliver ‘on demand’ dynamic pricing as well as micro segmentation of offers based on individual needs. 

With nearly 250 airlines signed up to use Travelport’s unique merchandising technology, Travelgenio is able to further differentiate itself by displaying and selling branded fare families and ancillary products (such as paid seat assignments, baggage fees, priority boarding, etc.) from these airlines in the same way they do on their own websites. Having recently become the first global distribution system (GDS) to be certified by IATA as a “Level 3” Aggregator under its New Distribution Capability (NDC) initiative, Travelport will also benefit Travelgenio by creating NDC connections with airlines as they become available.

By connecting to Travelport’s highly-differentiated Travel Commerce Platform, the online travel agency is able to benefit from Travelport’s leading-edge search, automation, shopping and booking technologies, while accessing business logic and profiling functionality on a single platform.
