  • Searching and booking via graphical forms

Many agents use the forms or graphical user interfaces to complete searches or fill in information required for bookings. The majority of forms within Travelport Smartpoint have undergone a redesign of the dropdown menus or selection list fields, to make them easier to use.

The agent can navigate them via the keyboard, entering information, navigating the menu item list via the up and down arrow keys, tabbing from field to field or a mouse, and can quickly filter the lists by typing any available keyword or parts of a keyword.

If the agent begins to type in the drop down box, the list expands and attempts to focus on a matching menu item. E.g. Starting to type Un(ited) in a country field will find United States. Entering the first few letters of a credit card type in a payment field will quickly find the resulting card type.

Menu items compromised for a reference code + name (e.g. ‘HL - Hilton Hotels’) are searchable by either code or name.

Striking the ‘Enter’ key when a list item is highlighted will set the item as the selection and collapse the menu.

    For example:
Users can tab from one box, down to the next. Typing in the first 3 letters of the credit card type will find the group of cards relating to that search.
