Frankfurt, Germany, 3 November, 2021: Travelport, a worldwide leader in travel retail, today announced a multi-year agreement with the world’s largest network of independent travel agency franchises, Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI). The agreement paves the way for all international LCCI members to migrate to Travelport+, Travelport’s newly launched next-generation platform that creates a simplified, capability-rich, marketplace for travel retailing.
With approximately 230 travel agencies in more than 85 countries, LCCI’s franchisee network specializes in tailor-made customer products for both corporate and leisure travellers. Travelport will provide customized solutions for members, catered to their individual needs and while crucially integrating into various existing third-party software that is already in use. These solutions will all be built into Travelport+, which will allow agencies to benefit from a broad range of multi-source travel content, enhanced value generation, and an ever-broadening array of new merchandising capabilities designed to improve the traveler experience while maximizing revenue and customer loyalty.
