LANGLEY UK, October 5, 2022 – Travelport, a global technology company that powers travel bookings for hundreds for hundreds of thousands of travel suppliers worldwide, and Wingie Enuygun Group (WEG), a leading travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region focusing mainly on flights operating under wingie.com, sa.wingie.com, wingie.ae and enuygun.com domains, announced today that they have reached a value-based, multi-year distribution renewal agreement that will enable modern travel retailing by bringing content to Travelport-connected travel agencies around the world and help WEG to expand its business globally.
Travelport is the preferred Global Distribution System (GDS) partner of WEG, and as part of the agreement, will provide customers access to WEG’s content via Travelport+, Travelport’s next-generation travel retailing platform.

Travel volumes in MENA are reaching pre-pandemic levels. According to the trend data released by Travelport in April this year, at 110% recovered, the UAE is the most recovered country in the world. Dubai (114%) is the second most recovered city in the Middle East, following Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (115%). Wingie Enuygun flight bookings have surpassed 2019 levels for the first time in May 2022. Wingie, one of the leading travel marketplaces in MENA with over 165 million annual visitors through wingie.com, sa.wingie.com, wingie.ae and enuygun.com platforms, announced year-on-year growth of 500% in the number of transactions.
