What are cookies?
Our Primary Uses for Cookies
Two cookies that are automatically generated through your use of our website are the (1) Lang Cookie and the (2) Application cookie. Both of these cookies are “session” cookies tied to your web browser. They will expire if you reach the default 20 minute time-out limit, if you clear your browser cache, or when you completely close down your web browser. Given that the session is browser-based, your session does not persist between two different browsers. For example, Internet Explorer will have a completely different session than Firefox or any other browser. These two cookies are further explained immediately below.
- The Lang cookie is a preference session cookie and it determines the language our website will show you on each page refresh. This cookie is important because we have a default language for each site. If you choose to view the site in Spanish instead of another language, then this cookie ensures that the next page will also be displayed in Spanish until your cookie expires.
- The Application cookie is another session cookie that affects editors and administrators of the website and has no impact on your viewing of our site. This cookie is for informational purposes only. By using our website, you agree that we can place these types of cookies on your device.
You may occasionally get cookies from our business partners. Travelport does not control these cookies.
