Neil Skennerton

As SVP and Head of Legal since 1 January 2026, Neil leads our global legal team, responsible for legal, corporate secretarial, compliance and ethics, and government relations work. He is also involved in shaping commercial and business strategies.

Neil joined Travelport in 2012 from private practice at the law firm Dundas & Wilson (now part of CMS), bringing expertise in commercial and corporate law. Neil previously served as Associate General Counsel responsible for the European region, company secretarial and corporate governance matters, and from 2018 to 2021 also served as Travelport’s Data Protection Officer, guiding the company through evolving global privacy regulations.

Neil has a LLB law degree from Plymouth University. Outside of work he lives in the UK, is married and a proud father of two energetic sons, a long-suffering Tottenham Hotspur fan, a keen tennis player and (if occasionally wayward) golfer. His other interests include travel, good food and even better wine.

Having children means that you need to stay on top of technology as much as possible otherwise you get left behind so I do my best and I am loving AI.

What’s your favourite travel destination in the world?
This is a hard choice as there are so many wonderful places to visit in the world but if pushed it is between South Africa (Cape Town) and Italy (Tuscany) as they both have stunning scenery, with great food and wine, and lovely people.

Beach or mountains?
Beach, I love the warmth, the feeling of sand under my feet and looking out at the waves.

Sunrise coffee or sunset cocktail?
Most definitely coffee (although maybe not at sunrise!), however a sundowner is always necessary when on holiday.

Fancy restaurant meal or homecooked comfort food?
With two young boys I don’t get out as much as I used to so definitely a fancy restaurant meal (in fact it doesn’t even have to be that fancy!).

Early adopter or gadget-challenged?
Unfortunately, I’d say gadget-challenged, although having children means that you need to stay on top of technology as much as possible otherwise you get left behind so I do my best and I am loving AI.

If I wasn’t part of Travelport’s SLT, I’d be…
I’d like to say playing up front for Tottenham but I have neither the skills nor youthfulness for that, so I’d be a travel blogger.
