NDC

The real deal
on NDC

NDC is here to stay. And Travelport+ is the only platform making it work for modern agency retailing.

What agencies need to
know about NDC

NDC is a new(ish) XML-based data transmission standard, launched by IATA. That might sound daunting, but essentially, it’s just another content source that helps travel agencies like you sell personalized, distinctive, and competitive airline offers. As a retailer, the real challenge is being able to combine all content types to sell and service the full trip. To do that, you need to know your EDI-FACTs from your NDC fiction — and you need the right technology in your corner.

Why travelport for NDC

WE BUILD NDC
FOR AGENCIES
WE BUILD NDC
FOR AGENCIES
Unlike other travel retailing platforms, we’re not looking at NDC through a supply-side (i.e. airline) lens. At Travelport we believe NDC — like all content sources — should be built for agencies by being easy to search and buy, and should ladder up to a modern retailing experience. And by helping agencies retail better, everyone benefits: travelers, suppliers, and yep, the individuals booking and servicing trips.
RETAIL-READY
CONTENT
RETAIL-READY
CONTENT
Dealing with offers from multiple content sources can be confusing for agents, to say the least. But with our technology, you don’t see a ton of duplicated information, or have to follow a bunch of different rules for each content source. Travelport+ gathers, tidies, and enhances the data for you, so you can get on with selling and servicing.
SELL AND SERVICE
COMPLETE TRIPS
SELL AND SERVICE
COMPLETE TRIPS
Don’t believe the hype — content that can be booked but not serviced isn’t a modern retailing experience. Our commitment to agencies means we’ve a different view as to what modern retailing means, so we’re delivering end-to-end NDC solutions where content can easily be searched and understood, and relevant results returned, booked and serviced. No shortcuts. This ensures a stand-out NDC experience for agents and travelers, with more opportunities for cross-/upselling. Score.
IATA
PARTNERSHIP
IATA
PARTNERSHIP
We’re the team you want to work with on NDC. Why? Because Travelport partners with IATA and other industry players to create common development standards and a unified approach to adoption. This speeds up the roll-out of new carriers and servicing capabilities, with a particular focus on more support for ancillary sales.
